Is not integrated at all with iPhone

This would be a great app if it were fully integrated with texting and other applications. To use the application, you need to go directly into the app and record your spoken message, and once youre done you need to tell the app where you want that message to be placed. So after recording my message that I want to text to someone, I need to then click on the text icon, and then tell the application who I want that spoken text message to go to. So there are a lot more clicks involved in trying to send a simple text message via spoken word. Unless Im missing something, I dont know how this is any better than Siri. Sure, it does recognize my speaking more clearly, but I was thinking of using this while doing other activities to create more of a hands off experience. But you have to press a lot more buttons to get to where you want to go, so it is not hands-off at all. It is actually way more hands-on than dealing with Siris incompetence.

Wow

Very impressive, much better than any other similar app. And much more reliable than apples.

Horrid

Just as bad as Siri. Misinterpreted half of what I said. Gibberish.

Really Great App

Works Great!!! Better than any other app that Ive used or tried to use to dictate a doc, email, or text. Awesome!!!

Recognizes speech very well but no saving or editing

This app recognizes a speech extremely well. I give 3 stars because it does what its supposed to but does not fit my needs so I feel like Ive wasted my money. 2 things that I need for my use are: -Editing so that I can add to a previous recording -saving recordings. I need a dictation app for journaling so I can speak in the evening at the end of the day and then maybe add something I forgot and not worry about copying it immediately. Id rather, and it would be better for my needs, to go back and add to or edit my previous recording and then worry about putting my journal together later, the next day or do a few days worth at a time. Currently this app does not fit my needs and I feel like Ive wasted my money. The app description doesnt clarify exactly what it does or maybe its my fault for not realizing that if it doesnt say anything about saving and editing I should assume it doesnt.

Not what I had hoped for.

I saw all of these reviews that said that they had been transcribed by the app. They were properly punctuated with commas and periods. I assumed that the app would handle that punctuation, but it doesnt. I dont see any clear benefit over the built-in dictation capabilities of the iPhone.

Good recognition, can only record few minutes at time

Very good voice recognition, it can only process recording few minutes at the time.

Not what I need

Waste of money since it doesnt do what I need it to.

Iiiiits okay.

I shouldnt be so harsh in my stars, because this app is trying very hard to understand what is being said. But truthfully, I was hoping for something a little better for something I paid for. It has a really hard time with anything even slightly muddled and confuses even normal clear speech to be indiscernible at some points. I was hoping to use this for interviews, but Im finding Im so confused by what it writes, it may not be useful. Unfortunately, it looks like this is the best autotranscriber out there at the moment.

No Better, Plus It Doesnt Scroll (so...worse)

I wrote this review using active voice. I am speaking close to the phone in a quiet room and still you will find mistakes. This app is no better, in my considerable experience, then iPhone notes. It is also severely limited. If you intend to edit as you go or use this app for anything more then it texts or extremely short emails then you should look elsewhere. That is all I can say because I can no longer see what I am dictating to the app.

Amazingly quick and accurate. A few minor issues.

Far and away the best app for converting speech to text. Remarkably quick and accurate. Two issues: 1) Difficult to save files unless emailed. 2) As noted by others the keyboard covers the text. Still in my opinion its the best transcription app available.

Outstanding App !!!

Exactly what I was looking for !! Incredible !

Transcribes for you!

After downloading an expensive dictation app for $16.99, I realized that it was no different than any other dictation apps. This one automatically transcribes it for you so all you have to do is copy and paste it to your case documentation then email it to yourself. You can also text short dictated notes to anyone. What a time saver! It makes a few errors such as common words that have similar sounds but different meanings such as one versus won or two versus to or too or Thai versus tie. This is very minor because all I really need to do is proofread the transcription. The only thing that the expensive app that I have bought is that it can be shared with a group automatically, and it allows for several transcripts in any given time period (Im a consultant and need to document what was discussed after every meeting). This means they all have access to it but they also still need to listen and type it out for me. Now what I will do is use this one then email it or download it to a shared destination like Dropbox. There are no upgrade costs or ads. By the way this is a transcribed review and all I had to do was change the common sounding words referenced above. I also changed "axis" to "access." After downloading several dozen productivity apps this is the only one I took the time to review. And it was not because it sent an annoying pop-up asking me to rate it. Oh one more thing it also translates your notes to other languages so I can text my Japanese or Vietnamese friends and restaurants my notes and take out orders! Love it love it love it! Needless to say I highly recommend this app. It will save you time and its free!

Only records for one minute

Only records for one minute so not what I was looking for

Disappointed

Am I doing something wrong? I wanted to use this app to record and transcribe live interviews for articles I write. It kept shutting off after a minute or less, with no way to continue except to send the current text to myself and start a new document. This is not practical during live interviews that typically last up to an hour. The app is of no use to me unless someone knows how to overcome this problem and make a single long document. Accuracy seems to be about 80%, good enough for editing into article form.

Deception & Inaccuracy

This product is actually made by Nuance the makers of Dragon Dictate. Accuracy is equivalent to Dragon 13 which is about 30%. Very poor. A total waste of money! Im trying to get a refund.

Terrible for Interviews

I got this app because I thought it would transcribe speech. Well, I am sorely disappointed, annoyed, and feel I wasted my money. First, it cuts out all the time. Second, unlike a regular recorder or the Voice App on the iPhone, it saves nothing. So if you have multiple interviews and do not send them to e-mail right away when it cuts out-- interview is totally lost.

Very very good

So I actually have an accent (not a very heavy one, but still) and the app picks up almost everything I say. It is also great in other languages, I just tried:) definitely money well spent.

Has great accuracy but needs a few features

This app has great accuracy, much better than Siri. Biggest downside is theres no way to save dictated files, you need to export them via email or copy and paste immediately or you will lose them. There should be a way to archive these files until you are ready to use them. Also,it should have better integration with iOS, although that is probably apples fault.

Horrible App

This app is extremely disappointing for $10 and I want my money back!!! It is NOT accurate and it doesnt even give you the option of saving your recording. I would Not recommend this app to anyone.
